Bear hugs for heroes

Bear Hugs for Heroes is a heartwarming outreach program that delivers stuffed animals to children in crisis—because sometimes, a simple hug can bring comfort in the chaos. Each bear is a reminder that these brave little heroes are not alone, even in their hardest moments. Whether they’re entering foster care, staying in a shelter, or facing medical challenges, every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and loved.

Our future goal is to provide Build-A-Bear Workshop® gift cards so that parents can record personal voice messages inside the bears—giving their children a piece of comfort that speaks love even when they can’t be together. Through donations and community partnerships, Bear Hugs for Heroes turns small acts of kindness into lasting moments of connection and hope.
